Meet the Instructors
Doug and Donat have been teaching clinics together for several years and besides roaming the mountains, also have been traveling to several international horse archery competitions around the world.
Donat Koller
Donat’s background is in the dairy industry. He operates Happy Days Dairies in Salmon Arm with his family since 1993. Donat has a lifelong passion for the mountains and horses. 20 years ago he learned horse packing from Stan Walchuk and an old cowboy who used to be a seasoned packhorse racer.
Ever since he has been packing horses in his spare time, often with his friend Hugo and all their children.
In 2020 Donat took over Blue Creek Outfitting.
Up until 2021 Donat also was a horse archer and was involved in the creation of the Canadian Federation of Mounted Archery.
Doug Goodwin
Doug Goodwin is a 3rd generation outfitter, guide, and horse packer. He lives in Edgewater, BC where he operates Luxor Corrals with his wife Cherryl.
Up until 2022, he operated a hunting and guiding territory in the Purcell Mountains. Doug also is a hiking and river guide.
Doug also is a horse archer and is the founder of Spur Valley Mounted Archery, and the Canadian Federation of Mounted Archery.
Doug is a great teacher and horseman, and has a wealth of information to share in his clinics.
